    Après de nombreux mois passés à me consacrer aux préparatifs liés au 1er Festival MONDOCLOWNS, je me remets avec bonheur aux travaux que j'avais dû délaisser un peu par obligation. Et c'est avec une certaine joie que je vous présente aujourd'hui le buste tout fraîchement coloré du célèbre clown Achille ZAVATTA !

    ACHILLE ZAVATTA

    ZAVATTA était une véritable star, et à l'époque ce terme n'était pas encore galvaudé et se méritait. Enfant, j'ai vécu les grandes dernières années de sa gloire, avec le départ sur les routes de son cirque qui portait son nom. Imaginez pour le tout jeune passionné de clowns que j'étais déjà ce que représentait l'arrivée du cirque Achille Zavatta dans sa ville ! Plus qu'un évènement ! Une joie palpitante, un bonheur, un Honneur de pouvoir se rendre sous son chapiteau. D'une part pour la qualité des numéros qui y étaient présentés, et d'autre part, bien sûr, pour applaudir le Grand Achille ! Monsieur Loyal n'avait encore pas eu le temps de prononcer son nom, que sous le chapiteau, les cris de joie résonnaient déjà ! Que de fous rires, que d'émotions d'avoir la chance de voir sous mes yeux écarquillés ce clown formidable, à la voix inimitable, à l’allure reconnaissable entre toutes et au talent pur et simple qui le caractérisait.

    J'avais compris dans un programme souvenir, que sa caravane était celle qui fièrement faisait face à l'entrée, juste à côté de la caisse où l'on pouvait décrocher son sésame pour 2H15 de magie, de rire et d'émotions ! Alors, je guettais toujours dès mon arrivée au cirque, le moindre mouvement dans sa caravane, la moindre ombre lui ressemblant passant devant le rideau d'une des fenêtres... Et souvent, le plaisir de le croiser, en "civil", mélangé à la foule qui se pressait pour rentrer sous le chapiteau, ne s’apercevant même pas, que l'artiste qu'ils venaient voir, était là, parmi eux, observant si tout se passait bien, si la foule était au rendez-vous... Mais moi, je l'avais vu, ZAVATTA ! Un clin d’œil de lui, complice, comme pour dire "tu m'as vu, mais chut, je ne suis pas là" me remplissait de satisfaction avant de rejoindre ma place.

    Merci Monsieur Zavatta pour tous ces moments forts, pour tous ces éclats de rires, pour toute cette joie que vous avez apporté à tant de générations. Merci d'avoir été un clown populaire à l'époque où là aussi, ce terme voulait dire quelque chose de beau et de noble.
